I am looking for information on my grandfathers parents. I know that he
had at least one brother but am unsure as to whether there were any
sisters.His name was Charles Herbert Kettle, he was born July 12th 1888
in we think the Peterborough area of England. At one time he was living at 52
Stoney Stanton Road and was employed at the Daimler works.
He served with the militia 4th battalion bedford regiment and enlisted
with the 3rd bedford regiment in 1905 under the name of Cattle. He then
joined the Northampton regiment in the name of Kettle and fought during
the 1st world war. He was also mentioned in despatches. He married
