Kettle Leads 2006 onwards

I am now receiving Kettle Leads less frequently than in the past, possibly because my own research is less active these days but please be assured that these pages are still live and all contributions are welcome

Please enclose a stamped addressed envelope or two international reply coupons if you contact someone by snail mail.

To add your own Kettle message to this list please send an email to me Anna Kettle and within a few days I will post your info here, check my own database and send you an email to confirm

I am looking into the Kettle name, particularly for possible children of Tommy Kettle. His parents were William Kettle and Georgina Bovil and he had siblings by the names of Will, Charles(2 sons: Charlie and Cliff), Arthur(children: Harold, Arthur and Rene), Louisa (married George Holland and had May, Lily and Ivy) and Charlotte (known as Dot, married Arthur Cotterill followed by Will Fidget). Unfortunately, I don't have many dates but know he had one son, my grandfather, in 1917 with his first wife, Andhree Huttinot, who I'd also like to find out more about. His parents were William Kettle and Georgina Bovil. I know that most of the family were based in Scotland. Any info would be great.

I have trace my wifes line to a EDWARD KETTLE and his daughter Elizabeth, who married Cook Davison at St. Bride, London, England in 1851. It appears that they lived in the whitefriars area. Can anyone help me trace him IE his wife, occupation, parents etc. There is a story handed down that there was a Capt kettle, a pirate in the family but there is no evidence, could this just be a story about the ficticious character to pacify a child at bedtime?

I have been researching the Kettles family for the past 26 years and have established that descendants of my line of Kettles reside in Scotland, Canada, Australia and the USA. My brick wall comes in Perthshire, Scotland with a Thomas Kettles born 1762. In my research I have come across at least five other unconnected family lines that other researchers are currently following, and would like to establish if they belong to my Kettles family line. I have set up and am the volunteer administrator for a Kettles Surname DNA Project with a known Lab situated in the USA and the UK. It is my hope and goal to connect Kettles family members via DNA. I am hoping that through this project, these five or so unconnected lines will be able to find a common ancestor with each other as well as connecting to my line of Kettles. For further information on joining this project please contact me.
