Searching for any Ancestors or
Decendants of George KETTLE and his wife Maria, nee GARRETT. They
lived in Colchester, Essex, England, and had a least two children,
Anna Maria KETTLE, born 1838 and George William KETTLE, born 1840-41.
Anna married a Carl August FUNKE on 16-11-1856 at Colchester, Essex,
England and then in Sept 1874 they, with now 3-4 children, left for
NZ, arriving in Auckland in Dec 1874 on-board the ship Assaye.
Anna's brother George William KETTLE also came out on the same
voyage and settled in the Otaika Valley in the Whangarei district,
where he died on 18-7-1917. Anna died 12-4-1887 in
Auckland. Would appreciate it if anyone can offer any additional
information or links to this family. Kind regards, Sheena
